Communal Leader
Rabbi Fred recently wrapped up his third full decade in service to a wonderful Reconstructionist congregation near Washington, DC. Articles quoting him abound in the mainstream and religious press. Among various recognitions of his communal leadership are the Matthew Simon Rabbinic Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Wahington, and being the first individual awarded for eco-activity by Bethesda Magazine.
Perhaps your community seeks a shabbaton leader or periodic teacher/pastor/presence -- or in the case of a transition in leadership, you may be seeking an interim (an area where Rabbi Fred brings specific experience). In addition to his faith-based advocacy and education work on behalf of the Earth, Rabbi Fred is able and eager to share his longest-honed skills as a service leader and pastoral guide to communities that seek his services. Browse the sub-tabs in this section for more details on his experience and perspective on these roles.
